Scylla Page 12

Scylla Page 12: A full comic page set primarily inside a narrow underground tunnel. Tanya, a blonde haired woman in a green hoodie, speaks forcefully in close-up, addressing Ventrik by name as she questions their relationship and priorities. The scene widens to show both characters standing near a large chamber opening as an explosion echoes above them from the city streets, sending debris and sound through the space.

Tanya continues speaking as she turns away, asserting distance and independence, while Ventrik a heavy-set bearded man wearing a dark blue mechanics overall listens from behind. In a later panel, Tanya checks a tablet and announces that the creature is now fifty meters away as Ventrik raises a mechanical glove-like device from his suit and secures it to his right hand.

The page ends with a flashback sequence showing a gloved hand being pulled on in the family room of the Ventrik home. Ventrik's wife, a sharp dressed woman with gray hair states, “You’re not coming,” as a caption reflects on the lasting impression of her expression.
