Ventrik's wife, a finely dressed, gray-haired woman in a pink coat speaks to him, warning that his work may get him killed and that the city has become a war zone.

In close-up, Ventrik responds that the arcolgies are becoming organized and that there is real potential in the emerging structure of the levels. Ventrik's wife cautions that some answers are not worth the trouble.

In the final panels, she prepares to leave rolling a suitcase toward the door as she explains that the last expedition to the Rim leaves soon and that safety can only be guaranteed to a certain point. The page ends with her exiting, suggesting finality.
