Interlude: the memo

A fictional corporate memo from Überreich Synthogen is shown on a white page. The company logo appears at the top, a medical cross inside a red circle above the company name.

The memo is titled, “Re: June memo on the separation of our organizations,” and is addressed to the board of directors, primary shareholders, and executives of Überreich Munich.

The body of the memo explains that Überreich Haven has chosen to separate from the Munich organization after the Collapse. The writer argues that Haven’s changed reality and the city’s new possibilities make it impossible to continue under the old structure. The memo references Überreich’s mission to “Push the boundaries,” along with progress in data security, AI development, and the Palaipafos venture. The memo is signed by Taylor Levine, CEO of Überreich Haven.

A yellow sticky note is attached near the bottom of the page. In handwritten text, it says, “He’s still using ‘CEO’! How do we fix this? -J”

Interlude: The memo

The Memo

Between Chapters Three and Four, Dystopia steps away from the immediate aftermath of SCYLLA and into a series of in-world "found artifacts" that explore and enhance the world of Haven.

This week’s page presents a memo from Überreich Haven to Überreich Munich and the Board of Directors, revealing how the Collapse has changed more than the physical structure of the city. What was once a branch operation now sees itself as something autonomous, shaped by Haven’s new reality and the strange opportunities created in the aftermath.

This memo is the first of four interlude pieces that will appear before Chapter Four begins. Each one is presented as an in-world document, offering a glimpse into Dystopia beyond the comic pages.
