Angie attempts to break the trance through a leg sweep intended to knock 8244 to the ground and is met with a swift and powerful counterattack. After a dramatic leap and flip, 8244 lands in a defensive crouch, breathing heavily. As 8244 calms, we witness a transformation as their hand reduces to its original size and the skin that is stretched across their face relaxes and appears normal. In a calm moment after the skirmish, 8244 explains that someone once told her she was perfect, expressing lingering emotional conflict. Angie gently explains that 8244 had been fading, implying a loss of self-control. The conversation culminates as Angie reflects on their shared past, each chosen for their rare mental resilience to intense psychological conditioning by "the doctors."
